Scout's Honor

Supporting Colon Cancer Research and Outreach Programs

In conjunction with the launch and sale of her debut novel, Scout's Honor, Pittsboro fiction writer Dori Ann Dupre is donating a portion of the book's proceeds to UNC Lineberger Gastrointestinal Oncology Research Program and Colon Cancer Awareness efforts in honor of her husband Eric who is battling Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

The purchase of this book helps to raise funds and awareness about this devastating disease, which is on the rise in people under the age of 50, the base screening age.

If you would like to donate directly to this cause instead, without purchasing the book, we thank you so much for your generosity and support of Eric and others like him who are in the fight of their lives. Every bit helps toward buying time and finding a cure.

Talk to your doctor, talk to your family members, know your risks, and if you can, get screened early. You are never too young for this cancer.
